Medical Camps and Outreach Clinics
For almost two years, Calvary Medical Clinic and Calvary Safaris have been organizing medical safaris in partnership with medical experts and with the support and authorization of the Ugandan government and major medical centers. These safaris focus on outreach to remote villages, refugee camps, and areas where there is limited access to medical care. Our medical partners handle the medical work and caregiving, while Calvary Medical Centre and Calvary Safaris overcome geographical barriers by delivering medical teams to these remote locations. Once there, mobile clinics are set up, offering services ranging from dental care to health education. After completing all the planned outreach activities, the team collects the patients and medical team to return.
Impact of the Medical Safaris
During a typical medical safari or camp, the team spends between 2 to 5 days in the area. During this time, the medical team treats hundreds of patients, performs smaller surgeries, and sometimes even major surgeries. Many lifesaving surgeries have taken place during these outreaches. Calvary Medical Centre has evolved into a Center of Excellence for small communities, continuing to contribute significantly to improving access to medical care.
